Paper Analysis
All papers can be broken down into their basic compounds and each manufacture uses a different ingredients list. The paper also has a different ink content that is different for each one. The Forensic Document Examiner is in charge of these on top of the handwriting samples. They are the ones that test for any hidden chemicals within the paper. They look at the hidden, embossed seals and any other distinctive marks on the paper that can trace down who had it last. If the writing comes up with nothing, maybe the paper itself can tell the investigators something.
Soon there will be even more types of papers out on the streets, anyone will be able to create paper. The chemical analysis part of the crime lab will be a part of keeping up all the change in the makeup of the papers.
