Self-replication is a scary future for robots. Robots would be able to make new parts for themselves and build a robot army ready to do whatever it is they please. Who says robots get to have all the fun? A human who has the ability to self-replicate would never die in a sense. They would be able to use genetically engineered limbs and parts to heal themselves or create clones of themselves to help in any way. This skill would make humans a serious threat to robots with the ability to self-replicate. This skill could help even out the playing field in a potential dystopian world.
