The Ability to Tell Computers and Humans Apart

an image demonstrating the Turing test with stick figures representing humans and a computer representing artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence is coming closer and closer to human intelligence. In the future, artificial intelligence will be at the point where it is difficult to tell if one is speaking to a human or a robot. The Turing test will be almost impossible for humans to play. When artificially intelligent beings begin to not only act like humans but look like humans, it will become absolutely necessary to have a keen ability to tell the difference. This will be particularly helpful if robots turn into a bad entity. With this skill, a human would be able to navigate through this new world finding and recognizing other humans to help them stop the potentially bad robots. Another use of this skill would be in dating. If a human meets a pretty girl at a bar, they may want to make sure she is not a robot before dating her. It is just good to know.
