Implications of Google AI
A search engine that is smarter than humans? While this sounds very creepy, it also sounds like this might be a really helpful search engine. The benefits of Google AI are that the intelligence of this technology will understand exactly what one asks it and it will be able to instantaneously provide this individual with the correct information or answer. AI should help people to make better decisions and find more information by doing less work. Perceived negative aspects of AI include the loss of a human's ability to think for themselves. Some worry that technology such as Google AI will be so powerful that humans will no longer need to exercise their minds. Additionally, many worry that, in the future, machines or robots will rule over the human race because they will be more intelligent than people.
The Google AI that Larry Page described is likely to be a reality. One must remember that nearly all of the technological advancements that have appeared during the previous century have had both positive and negative effects on society and human life.
