What To Look Foward To:
- Real Madrid - Barcelona:
- Spain’s biggest game by far, aswell as thw world's most important derby. The two top teams in spanish football history don't only compete in football, but also in political philosophy. Also the rivalvry between Madrid and Barcelona, Spain's most important cities, is pretty intense. Real Madrid – Barcelona is more than a game, it's a way of existance. They will play on December 22 in Nou Camp, Barcelona; and on May 7 in Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid.
- Inter - Juventus:
- Italy’s two most important teams battle for supremacy. The first game this season was played in Torino with a 1 -1 draw. Next game will be played in San Siro stadium in Milan on March 22.
- Liverpool - Manchester United:
- There are many derbies in England, but this one is the most important one. The two big teams from the north happen to be the teams with the biggest rivalry in British football history (also the teams with more titles). Due to problems with the British planning on their league, we don’t know yet the date of the game, but it will be on week 31 of the league.
- Uefa Cup Final:
- Every one deserves a second chance. This cup has been overshadowed by the champion’s league, but it is as passionate. Very high level of infield play, this final is held one week before the other one, as a mouth opener. May 14th is the date. Who will be the new champion (after two time in a row winner Sevilla F.C. is playing Champion’s League)?
- Champions League Final:
- After several months of tough battles, the two top teams in the continent go one on one in a won game final (held in Moscow this year). This passionate game will be held on May 21st. Last year's winner A.C. Milan is looking weak. Will they retain their title, or will another powerhouse take it from them
- Euro Cup 2008:
- The best national teams in Europe have qualified to this important date, and from May to June they will be battle one game at the time for the title of Europe’s best national team. Italy, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands are the favorite teams to become the successor of Greece, last champions of this cup. Can Germany and France live up to their reputations? Or will Turkey, Cheque Republic or Poland shock the world pulling an upset?. This year, the tournament will be held between in both Switzerland and Austria.
