The Sperwer B

The Sperwer B is an unmanned plane which is used to collect data during, before, ore after combat. It can also be loaded up with fire power and actually be used in combat. It is the improvement of the Sperwer A which was developed in 2001. The Sperwer B can fly for up to 12 hours and has twice the payload capacity as the Sperwer A.

This aircraft was developed for the French Army in 2006. The Sperwer B is made for catapult launch and is able to land with the assistance of parachutes and airbags. Both the Sperwer B and A are controlled from ground stations that allow them a maximum range of 200km.
