The Little Bird
The Little Bird is an unmanned helicopter designed to gather information in combat or engage itself in combat. The Little Bird can be programmed for dual pilot mode, single pilot mode, and unmanned flight operational mode. This helicopter has a very high payload capacity which makes it a very versatile aircraft. Its first flight was in 2004 with the supervision of an on board pilot and its first unmanned flight was in 2006.
Most of the missions set for the Little Bird are surveillance, resupply of troops in the battle field, and rescue any stranded pilots. With its amazing payload of 1,090kg, the Little Bird definitely can make a difference when it comes to supplying and rescuing troops.
