The Aravis is a 12.5 ton vehicle that has been developed to be a multipurpose protected armored vehicle. It's an 8 passenger vehicle created by Nexter Systems, and has become available just this year. As a company that focuses on battle management systems, Nexter Systems has created the Aravis to cut down on the fatalities from road side bombs, mines, and other explosive devices. With a V-shaped anti-mine plate, mini-blast absorption modules, and energy absorption seats, the technology in the Aravis makes this vehicle a very tough piece of machinery.

Various tests have shown that the Aravis can handle a detonation of 50kg of TNT at a distance of 5m. This is due to the anti-blast and anti-fragmentation side walls and anti-blast doors. This vehicle could be the answer to saving many soldiers who encounter roadside bombs in hostel areas.
