Watch Keeper

The Watch Keeper Tactical Unmanned Air Vehicle has been a work in progress since the year 2004. This unmanned aircraft is currently still being modified but will eventually have the important job of helping UK armed forces with gather intelligence, target acquisition, and surveillance. The Watch Keeper will be able to fly day or night with the highly technical radars this aircraft carries. It uses everything from infrared to radars and lasers to collect multiple types of data. The Watch Keeper is launched using a catapult system and is programmed before its take off.
With The United Kingdom's close relationship with the United States, the Watch Keeper will eventually be used to help United States Military forces in future mission. The year 2010 is the assumed time when the Watch Keeper will be available for live missions. It has done numerous test runs in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, but still needs some additional work.
