The EC665 Tiger

The EC665 Tiger has been a combat helicopter that has been in development since the 1980's. The helicopters first flight was in 1991 and has ever since been modified year by year. The body of the EC665 is made from eighty percent carbon fiber, reinforced polymer and Kevlar, eleven percent aluminum, and six percent titanium. The rotors that enable this piece of technology to go at top speed of 315km/h are made of fiber-plastic, which is durable enough to support combat damages. As a two person combat helicopter the EC665 is unusually built where the pilot actually sits in the front while the gunner sits in the back just off to the left shoulder of the pilot.
Germany and France militaries have been the main parties involved with acquiring the EC665. This helicopter is being built buy Eurocopter, a company that works with the European Aeronautics Defense and Space (EADS). The manufacturer have armed the EC665 with Hellfire II air-to-ground missiles that have a range of over 8km and are also built with semi-active laser seekers, which helps the accuracy of missiles fired. The technology that made the EC665 Tiger into a war machine is only improving which can't be promising for those having to face it.
