Piranha V

After much deliberation of who was going to create the Piranha V, finally, General Dynamics UK and Mowag of Switzerland were selected to carry out the job. The Piranha V was created for the British Army and is the fifth generation in the Piranha vehicles family. Completed in 2008, The Piranha V is an 8x8 utility vehicle that has currently been diploid throughout Iraq and Afghanistan.
The improvements made from the Piranha IV to the Piranha V are the increased protection, greater engine power, and more room for soldier and weaponry. The vehicle is fitted with anti-lock brakes, and both front and rear steering. Tire pressure is measured every thirty seconds and it also boasts a central tire inflation system. With the central tire inflation system, crew member can previously set the tires for different terrains.
The Piranha V not only provides protection and a sure ride through any terrain, it also has an array of mounted weapons and platforms in which soldiers can engage in combat. In heavier combat this vehicle is armed with a global positioning system that allows for communication in the heaviest of combat.
