Gefas

The Gefas is a German military protective vehicle that was created for the highest level of protection while being able to stay at a reasonable weight. This vehicle weighs 17,500kg and is mostly used for an armored patrol, air defense, convoy escort, or reconnaissance missions. Released to German armies in 2008, the Gefas can hold up to six passengers and reach a maximum speed of 100km/h. Because of its all wheel drive the Gefas provides one of the best turning radius' of any protective military vehicle.
The Gefas has a complex modular design which allows for the addition of headlights or weaponry. The weapons on the Gefas are mostly remote control allowing for soldiers to stay protected within the vehicle. The modules allow for a two passenger gun platform that can feature grenade launchers and multiple machine guns. The Gefas also has the capability to carry guided missiles, a feature that is not common for a vehicle its size. One of its newest technologies is air defense radar which allows it to track smaller targets and be more aware of it surroundings.
