Future Infantry Soldier System

The FELIN, Fantassin à Équipements et Liaisons Intégrés, better known in English as the Future Infantry Soldier System, began developing in 1996, but has since just begun production in 2008. This system, created by the French, is set to help soldiers accomplish three things, better communication, be more lethal, and better protected. Each FELIN is to weigh less than 35kg, and consist of better body armor, computers, and more durable protective helmets.
The Helmet in the FELIN system will feature two displays, a built in microphone with a vibrating speaker, so during combat soldiers are aware they are receive commands, and they have cameras built on them. This goes with a new array of visual features that will be put on soldiers' weapons. Weapons will be mounted with scopes that have day and night vision, which will help soldiers be more accurate.
