There's no way of knowing exactly where Google will go in the future, and how it will progress and advance. Obviously right now it's still quite popular, and it is widely considered one of the better search engines on the internet presently. The way it contains all of these different user services like Gmail and GoogleMaps, for example, only further adds to it's usefulness. Google Maps evolved into Google Earth. Google Earth added the use of up-to-date satellite imagery, which in turn increased the use of other real-time images. Google's sidebar advertising in it's various services like Google Groups and the search engine itself suggest that Google is attempting to become 'smarter' or at least that it is trying to learn more about habits of it's users. As useful a tools as Google is, and with all of the services that Google provides, it is conceivable to assume that Google will be around for a long time to come, and who really can tell what the future of Google has in store for us? Google continues updating and advancing it's services. We'll just have to wait and see.
