Second Life has become a place to find people like themselves and to form relationships. But do some take it too far?

Kimberly Jernigan joined Second Life in search for companionship and soon found the man for her. He chose to represent himself as a lion and designed his avatar to resemble a white lion with a black mane. After dating online for some time, they decided to finally meet in person, but when they actually met, the man broke it off.

Distraught, Ms. Jernigan refused to let her love get away. She showed up at his apartment with a "stun gun, handcuffs, and duct tape" (Woman Charged . . .). After he called the police, she fled the scene but was later arrested and charged with planning a kidnapping. When asked why she tried to kidnap her ex-boyfriend, she responded with, "I was grabbing my guy and heading out west."
