Artificial Intelligence is one section of the technological industry that is growing currently, but will continue to grow even more in the future. According to Dictionary.com Artificial intelligence (which can be abbreviated as AI or A.I.) is defined as "the capacity of a computer to perform operations analogous to learning and decision making in humans, as by an expert system, a program for CAD or CAM, or a program for the perception and recognition of shapes in computer vision systems." ("Artificial Intelligence")
I will first discuss some current trends happening in artificial intelligence. Our current capabilities, what scientists are working on right now. I will then move on and look at where this technology is likely to go. What portions of the research being done right now are likely to continue on. Finally I will discuss the issues that surround the continued development into the field of artificial intelligence.
